Matthew 5 - 7

Jesus tells us not to worry about our daily life, but to first desire God's Kingdom and righteousness.  How are you able to put this into practice?

  1. I think the one thing that really "struck" me was 5:47. It really made me think about how friendly are we to visitors? It's so easy to fellowship with those we know and are close to. However, not so easy to the point it takes an effort to engage others in conversation and make them feel welcome. Verse 48 tells us we are to show love to everyone! Tall order...........

  2. This begins with the Beautitudes. In CEB it says "happy." Other versions state, "Blessed." When following Matthew 5:3-12, we are told how to approach life as well as others. Chapter 7:1-2 states,"Don't judge, so that you won't be judged. You'll receive the same judgement you give." Putting these into practice is just that...do it and it will be putting God's Kingdom into practice.
