One of the amazing things for me about reading scripture over and over again is that I always seem to notice something I had not noticed before. This time I noticed that the name of the servant whose ear was cut off by Peter. Although this may be only an interesting detail, it just shows me how the Word of God is always fresh and new. Also isn't it fascinating that it was Caiaphas who said it was better for one person to die for the people. He had no idea how true those words would become.
From Joann: I picked up in chapter 19 that, "Nocodemus took myrrh and aloe and took Jesus' body and wrapped it, with the spices, in linen clothes." We always think of the women going to do this after Jesus rose from the dead! Glory!
